Seasonal Memoir #51

Bob Marley was a prophet. I just know it. Don’t ask for proof, and no, there are no cannabinoids influencing this statement. Watch this excerpt from his 1977 concert in London, and tell me otherwise. :)

I took a chance and went back to the Rigi for a solo winter hike. I was hoping there would be a walkable trail, now that I had some spikes for my new hiking boots. It’s Switzerland, so of course, the trail was walkable, and in some places, groomed. And not surprising, the top of the mountain was a hive of activity, with folks renting sleds to slide down long trails (only to take the cog rail back up and do it again). It was a grueling hike, mostly because there were some spots where I was knee deep in snow, but the weather was lovely, as were the french fries at the top, and then the train ride down made it an unforgettable experience.

Starting up the trail from Arth-Goldau
Follow the signs
Glad I’m not hiking those…
Definitely out of the valley
Higher up than it looks
I bet the skiers like this
From the top
Reward…
